Give through BDF

Add the strength of the statewide housing industry to your candidate contributions and remind the candidates that housing matters by making campaign contributions through Builders Direct Fund (BDF), the Wisconsin Builders Association's conduit fund.

All VHBA member contributions given through BDF help VHBA reach its annual political fundraising goal, and the contributions reach the candidates with the message that the housing industry is a political force.

If you receive requests for campaign contributions through the mail or email, or if you choose to attend a fundraising event for a candidate, contact Christine Shaefer first (christine@vhba.com or 920-731-7931) to learn how easy it is to make the contribution you want through Builders Direct Fund.

2010 is an important election year -- burdenson regulations and out-of-touch legislation continue to present challenges to businesses and the housing industry. VHBA's Housing Advocacy Committee regularly monitors government activities and will soon be interview candidates in key races to provide information to VHBA members regarding the candidates' positions on issues most directly related to the housing industry. As additional information becomes available, it will be posted here.

At this time, a list of signficiant candidates in major races in which Fox Valley residents will vote are listed here (as declared to date). If the candidate's web site is known, you'll find it here. And, If any VHBA member would like to announce a fundraiser for a candidate, we'll list it here (simply contact christine@vhba.com).
